My name is Cal Menzies. I specialize in helping my clients financially prepare for retirement with the proper use of annuities. I help people all over the country find ways to generate more retirement income and see how to securely protect their money during these turbulent times.

Originally from Maryland, I earned a B.A. in Psychology from Sewanee University in Tennessee. After watching my grandparents struggle with healthcare and finances in their retirement years, I decided to pursue a career in the financial services industry. My journey began in 2001 when I took a position with a large national insurance company as a captive agent.
In 2013, after realizing that to truly offer custom-tailored advice to clients and establish myself as a fiduciary, I needed to become an independent agent. I left the captive company and joined my long-time friend and colleague, Jason Soloman, at Tactical Investment Advisors, LLC (T.I.A.). I am now able to offer my clients a broader range of products to truly fit their financial needs. I really enjoy that T.I.A. is an independent Registered Investment Advisory that builds innovative tax and investment solutions to help clients reach their financial objectives.
When I’m not at work, I spend time with my wife, Laura, and our boxer mix pup, Cora. We enjoy taking trips to the mountains or beach to take in the fresh air, relax, and have some time away from the city. I am also an avid sports fan, enjoy exercising, and attempt to play golf.
Currently, my wife and I reside in Charlotte, North Carolina. Even though my office is located in the Tar Heel State, I am able to work with clients in all 50 states. With our advanced technology systems, I am able to meet with my clients “face-to-face” through virtual online meetings, as well as share screens with clients to allow us to go through illustrations and products in real-time. This way, I’m able to walk you through how various income strategies may work for you and your specific goals.
I do my best to take the mystery out of annuities by answering some of the most commonly asked questions in a simple and personalized way. For your comfort and convenience, my meetings are conducted over the phone and virtually. This means you do not need to come to my office to have an appointment with me, you don’t even need to leave your home. My goal is to find the best fit for my clients, from products and investment strategies, to scheduling appointments with ease and at times that best fit their needs.
