For over 35 years, I have been helping conservative boomers and retirees protect their retirement portfolios, monthly income, and wealth so that they can retire more confidently and comfortably regardless of market conditions. I began my career in April of 1987 with a Wall Street Firm, providing full financial services. Just six months later, I experienced what is now known as “Black Monday”, and that single day in history laid the groundwork to my conservative planning approach for portfolio, income, and wealth protection.
In 1999, I founded The Pinnacle Annuity Corporation (now Pinnacle Retirement). My goal is to help educate, equip and empower retirees and potential annuity investors about how to invest in annuities, and how to shop the marketplace for the most competitive plans. I serve the boomer and retiree market, providing unbiased, independent, and secure solution-based planning for lifetime income, no market loss growth, and wealth preservation.
I’m a Certified Annuity Specialist (CAS), Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and an independent Insurance and Annuity Agent.
I’ve written educational columns about retirement, income and annuities in over a dozen publications across Michigan, Arizona, and Colorado. I’ve been a featured speaker at the Gazette’s “Successful Aging Expo”, and I have also appeared on “Your 2nd 50 Years” radio show, with host Hedi Headley. In addition, I’ve authored a variety of educational retirement material: “The Retirement Certainty Project” and “Annuity Protocol,” and creator of the “Annuity Roadmap” investing system.
My wife of nearly 30 years, Charlene, and I met in grade school and we have been blessed with two children, Gavin and Tori Joy. We also have two dogs named Denver and Harvee Joy (saved from Hurricane Harvey). When I’m not working, I like to enjoy the Colorado lifestyle with my family. We also lived in Michigan and then moved to Arizona, or as we like to say, “we moved from the freezer to the oven.”
I reside in Colorado, and even though my office is physically located in Windsor, I am able to work with clients throughout the United States. Through our advanced technology systems, not only can we meet “face-to-face” online, but we can also share computer screens so that we are all on the “same page.” That way, you can see first-hand how various income strategies may work for you and your specific goals.
