My name is Shannon Thurmond. I specialize in helping my clients financially prepare for retirement, which often includes the proper use of annuities. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, as well as an MBA from Pepperdine University. I’m a licensed life insurance agent; I’m certified to market annuities, and I regularly consult with families who need college planning and college funding strategies.

Over my 35-year career, I have held senior leadership positions with multinational financial firms, coached other advisors, and finally built my own financial advisory firm 10 years ago. I am president and owner of Thurmond Financial Solutions and Insurance Services and Education Funding Concepts. I have helped families and businesses by sharing with them common sense strategies for improving their financial future and reaching their college funding and retirement savings goals.

The strategies I employ have been published by FORBES Books, and the book lays out how more Americans, who are at or near retirement, can benefit from strategies similar to those being used by top executives and the wealthy elite to save on taxes now and in the future through SMART®️ tax diversification strategies. I enjoy sharing proven financial strategies and guidance with my clients that allow them to thrive in any economic environment.

I’m married to my college sweetheart. We have four grown children and are proud grandparents of several grandchildren. I’m also very active in my local church and community.

I reside in California, and even though my office is physically located in Orange County, I am able to work with clients throughout the United States. Through our advanced technology systems, not only can we meet “face-to-face” virtually online, but we can also share computer screens so that we are all on the “same page.” That way, you can see first-hand how various income strategies may work for you and your specific goals.
