My name is David Sholofsky. I specialize in helping my clients financially prepare for retirement, which often includes the proper use of annuities. I have worked with clients who are approaching or already in retirement since 1985. Being the son of two teachers, I enjoy educating clients and helping them understand how annuities can benefit them in retirement. My approach is simple, reducing a client’s overall risk while maximizing the income generated from their retirement accounts. To do this, clients need to fully understand how and why retirement vehicles work the way they do.

Each client has unique circumstances; there is no cookie-cutter solution for all. I spend a great deal of time listening to and fully understanding a client’s situation and needs before making any recommendations. I thoroughly enjoy the details involved in retirement planning and take pride in serving as a guide for some of the most important decisions people will make.

During my career, I have become a member of the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants, The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, as well as being a certified National Social Security Advisor. I am co-owner of JD Financial & Insurance Advisors in Philadelphia, Pa, a firm dedicated to helping people make the proper financial decisions required to enjoy their retirement years. We serve clients locally and nationally.

My wife Debbie and I have been married for 37 years. We have two daughters and four grandchildren. We enjoy music, traveling, long walks, and spending time with our four pets. We split our time between Philadelphia, Pa., and Naples, Fl.

I reside in Pennsylvania, and even though my office is physically located in Philadelphia, I am able to work with clients throughout the United States. Through our advanced technology systems, not only can we meet “face-to-face” virtually online, but we can also share computer screens so that we are all on the “same page.” That way, you can see first-hand how various income strategies may work for you and your specific goals.
